In Australia, hypnotherapy is a self-regulated profession. The profession is overseen by the Hypnotherapy Council of Australia (HCA). The HCA is made up of associations and training colleges. All of the member organizations of HCA meet HCA prescribed minimum standards for the training of hypnotherapists, ethical conduct, and the practice of hypnotherapy.
