So what is a professional association?
The formal meaning is that an association is a body of people who are engaged in the same profession who come together to maintain standards, control entry into the profession and represent the profession when holding discussions with other bodies.
All the Associations listed below are full members of the Hypnotherapy Council of Australia
Hypnotherapists who are members of these Associations know they are part of those formal structures which protect them as therapists and which demand high standards of education, behaviour, ethics and codes of practice.
